#femalechangemaker: USA
In 2021 Kamala Harris was sworn in as the first woman and first woman of color vice president of the United States. "While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last," Harris said after getting elected in November. A good moment have a closer look on femalechangemakers in the USA and the current situation after this year's presidential elections: What is the state of women's rights today and gender equality?
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom will discuss these important questions with Teresa Mosqueda, American politician and labor activist from Seattle, Washington and Stormy-Annika Mildner PhD, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany in Berlin.
The event is part of the #femalechangemaker series, in which moderator Karoline Gil presents women from around the world who are fighting for freedom, human rights and democracy in their countries. The discussion will be held in English.
