Managing Water and Climate Change in South Asia and Germany
In cooperation with the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation for Freedom Office South Asia
Water, water everywhere ... and not a drop to drink!
Climate change is a global problem that will require tremendous efforts on all levels. In the meantime, metereological outliers will continue increasing over the next years and create numerous problems. Water management will prove to be such a challenge - as water will be either too little, or too much, or in the wrong place as weather patterns shift. South Asia has been tackling floods and droughts for some time, but Germany has also been experiencing an alternating sequence of floods and droughts in the recent years - as well as a depleted ground water level in many areas.
What are the expected effects of climate change in the various regions of the world? How can we adapt locally to these changes? And what can we do to reverse course? Panelists from South Asia and Germany come together to exchange their expertise on how to adjust to the new challenges over the next decades and which tools we have at our disposal to mitigate the effects.
We invite you to join this international discussion and to learn more about the relation between climate and water.
