Europe and India as Partners for Growth
The international economic order is undergoing a profound transformation. New tariffs and geopolitical tensions are placing increasing pressure on free global trade. For an export-oriented country like Germany, however, open markets, reliable trade rules, and international cooperation remain essential prerequisites for growth and prosperity.
Against this backdrop, India is gaining increasing importance. As a rapidly growing economy and the world’s largest democracy, the country is becoming a key economic partner for Europe. The recently agreed free trade agreement between the European Union and India could create new opportunities for trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
At the trade conference, representatives from politics, business, and academia will discuss India’s role in the future global economy, the prospects for economic cooperation between Europe and India, as well as the opportunities and challenges of the EU–India free trade agreement.
We look forward to welcoming you to this event. The conference will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation into German. You may attend in person or join via livestream.
